IDENTITY, MEMORY, DIFFERENCE

Authors are cordially invited to submit original manuscripts for possible inclusion in a special [thematic] issue of Hypothesis (ISSN 2360-4077/ISSN–L 2360–4077), entitled „Identity, Memory, Difference”. Hypothesis is a high-standard biannual philosophy and social sciences academic journal published by the Institute of Social and Political Research of West University of Timisoara, under the supervision of a reputed international Board of Editors.
„Identity, Memory, Difference” is a composite topic that allows for diverse approaches from philosophical, to cultural, to meta scientific, to educational, or anthropological, to name just a few. Interdisciplinary outlooks are also welcome.
The subject-matters subsumed to the general topic may include, but are not restricted to, the following:

- Philosophical (including logical, epistemological, ethical, etc.) perspectives on, or implications of at least one of the topic’s concepts
- Metahistorical Approaches of Identity, Memory, Difference
- Identity, Memory, Difference in Social Sciences
- Identity, Memory, Difference and Cultural Criticism
- Political theory and Identity, Memory, Difference

All contributions are welcome.
Submissions:
Complete articles should have between 5,000 and 8,000 words and should be submitted in English. Abstracts should be written in English (150-200 words), followed by 5 keywords. Please provide full names, affiliations and e-mail addresses of all authors, indicating the author of the contact. Articles and all queries should be sent to the e-mail address of the journal: hypothesis@e-uvt.ro. Interested authors must consult the journal’s guidelines for manuscript submissions at http://hypothesis.uvt.ro/for-authors prior to submission. All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis by two independent internationally reputed scholars.

Important deadlines:
- March 15, 2021: Full article submission.
- May 15, 2021: Results of the evaluation and final acceptance of the article; authors whose articles have been accepted will be notified by email.
- July 15, 2021: Online publication on the journal’s website.
Florin Lobont is Professor of Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy and Communication Sciences, West University of Timisoara and Fellow of Holocaust Research Institute, Royal Holloway, University of London. He teaches and researches Philosophy of History, Post-Holocaust Philosophy, Applied Ethics, and Philosophical Counselling, and supervises doctoral students of philosophy at West University of Timisoara. His publications include Mind, Philosophy, History, and Psychoanalysis: Essays in Historical Understanding (Bucureşti: Editura TREI, 2014).
